- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. molasses (Grandma's molasses)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. coriander
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. cardamon
- 2 tsp. dried orange peel
Directions

1Mix the flour with all spices except orange peel.

2Mix butter and sugar together gradually, then add egg, orange peel and molasses.

3Gradually add flour and spice mixture.

4Mixture is very thin.

5Cover with Saran Wrap and towel and leave on counter in warm place overnight.

6Will thicken.

7Grease pan.

8Take small amounts and roll very thin.

9Cut in small shapes.

10Bake at 300° about 8 to 10 minutes until brown.

11Let cool and then put in airtight container.
