  • 3/4 c. shortening (Crisco)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Turn oven to 350°. Mix all ingredients. Roll into balls and then roll balls in granulated sugar.

    Place balls on ungreased baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
