- 1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Beat 1 cup sugar and butter.

2Add egg and molasses. Beat well. Add flour, soda, salt, ginger and cinnamon.

3Shape into 1-inch balls and roll in remaining sugar to coat.

4Place 2 1/2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.

5Bake at 350° for 11 to 13 minutes.
