  • 1 full c. melted shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 3 tsp. hot water (on soda)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 c. flour, sifted

    Roll teaspoon of dough in a ball and press out thin with a fork.
