  • 3/4 c. butter or oleo
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cloves

Directions

    Cream shortening, sugar, molasses and egg until creamy.

    Add dry ingredients.

    Roll in sugar and put on ungreased cookie sheet.
