- 1 c. molasses
- 1/2 c. butter
- 3 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 Tbsp. ground ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease cookie sheets.

3Put butter in a large mixing bowl.

4Set aside.

5Heat the molasses to the boiling point, then pour it over the butter.

6Mix the dry ingredients and sift together.

7Add butter and molasses.

8Chill mixture thoroughly.

9Place 1/4 of the mixture on a floured board and roll as thin as possible.

10Cut shapes with a small round cutter that has been dipped in flour.

11Roll the trimmings in with the next 1/4 of the dough.

12Keeps remaining dough chilled.

13Bake 8 to 12 minutes until crisp.
