- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup egg substitute (Egg Beaters)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup banana, mashed ripe
- 1/2 cup 1% low-fat milk
- 1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 -3 tablespoons boiling water
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C); grease a 15X10X1 pan.

2In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; Add egg substitute and vanilla.

3Combine flours, baking powder, salt , baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.

4Combine bananas and milk; add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the banana mixture, mixing well.

5Stir in nuts; pour the batter into the greased baking pan and bake approximately 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6Cool on wire rack and while it cools make the glaze.

7Glaze: cream the butter and sugar in a small bowl; stir in vanilla and enough of the boiling water until it reaches the desire consistency.

8Spread the glaze over the completely cool bars and sprinkle with chopped walnuts; cut in bars to serve.

9Do not spread the glaze over the bars if they are still warm or it will seperate; the bars must be room temperature.
