  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla flavor

    Mix butter and Crisco.

    Add sugar, one cup at a time.

    Add milk; alternate with flour.

    Pour into tube pan.

    Place in cold oven; turn to 350°.
