- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 c. milk, scalded
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Soften dry yeast in warm water.

2Combine milk, shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and salt.

3Cool to lukewarm.

4Add 1 cup flour and beat well.

5Add yeast mixture and eggs; beat smooth.

6Mix in remaining flour or enough to make a soft dough., Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.

7Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease surface.

8Cover and let rise in warm place until double, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

9Punch down.

10Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
