  • 1 lb. smoked sausage or ground beef
  • 1 c. long grain rice (uncooked)
  • 2 c. tomato juice
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. bacon drippings or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown meat slightly in oleo or bacon drippings. Combine all other ingredients and mix well. Add meat and bacon drippings. Bake, covered, in a baking dish at 350° for 1 hour.
