  • 18 wafers, crushed
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened or melted
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 c. milk
  • pinch of salt

Directions

    Cook and cool.

    Pour into pie crust.

    Beat 2 egg whites for meringue.

    Put on pie.

    Just before baking, put remaining crumbs on top.

    Bake in moderate oven at 350° to 375° for 20 minutes.
