Grandma'S Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean pork, ground
  • 1/2 lb. ground round beef
  • 1 scant c. dry rice, boiled until partially done
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • cabbage leaves

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except cabbage leaves, and make balls. Wilt cabbage leaves in water.

    Use this juice for basting and 1 cup over pan of balls wrapped in wilted leaves.

    Bake 1/2 hour, covered, for 30 to 35 minutes and uncovered at 350°.
