   Cook sugar, water and Karo at 260°.

   Beat egg whites until stiff.

   Pour sugar into egg whites in slow stream.

   Add vanilla and beat until shine goes away (5 to 10 minutes).

   Finish by hand. Add pecans and drop onto waxed paper.
