  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 4 to 5 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. ground nuts

Directions

    Beat sugar and shortening; add eggs one at a time.

    Slowly blend in milk.

    Mix dry ingredients and add to batter.

    Stir in vanilla and nuts.

    Bake at 350° for at least 1 hour and 20 minutes in Bundt or angel food cake pan.
