- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 eggs
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1Add shortening and sugar to boiling water; then let cool.

2Mix yeast, warm water and eggs; stir well.

3Then add flour alternately with shortening mixture.

4Let set in refrigerator overnight.

5Pour out on floured surface; knead just enough to handle easily.

6Use a biscuit cutter to cut out rolls.

7Dip in melted butter; then fold in half.

8Let rise about 3 hours; then bake at 400° about 20 minutes.

9Makes about 50 medium rolls.

10They will continue to rise and bake better if started in a cold oven.
