- 7 large or 8 medium eggs, separated
- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks margarine or 1/2 lb. butter, melted
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
- 1/2 c. coffee cream or Pet milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat egg whites with 6 tablespoons sugar and refrigerate while mixing cake.

2Cream sugar, butter and Crisco.

3Add egg yolks and blend on medium speed of mixer, then on lowest speed, add in flour, milk and vanilla.

4Mix well.

5Quickly add egg whites and fold in.

6Bake in tube pan (10-inch)) at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
