Ingredients

  • 8 c. oatmeal (not quick)
  • 1 1/2 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 c. raw nuts (e.g., almonds, cashews, filberts; can also use soy nuts and salted peanuts)
  • 1/2 c. sesame seed
  • 1 c. all-bran cereal
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix together the first 7 ingredients.

    In saucepan, mix together the honey, oil and vanilla; stir over medium heat until bubbly.

    Pour over dry ingredients; stir until well mixed.

    Bake on 2 or 3 large cookie sheets, uncovered, until golden brown, approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

    Stir 2 or 3 times while baking, especially in the corners.

    Also stir while cooling so granola will not stick together.

    Can add raisins to mix after cooling.
