Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. sliced almonds
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. sunflower seeds
  • 1 c. sesame seed
  • 1 c. wheat germ (optional)
  • 1 c. 7 grain cereal (optional)
  • 1 c. nonfat dry milk (optional)
  • 1 c. olive oil
  • 1 c. honey
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

    Mix together oatmeal, almonds, coconut, sunflower seeds, sesame seed and optional ingredients thoroughly if used.

    Blend together olive oil, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg; pour over first mixture. Mix well.

    Bake in 2 large pans (I use sheet cake pans) until lightly golden at approximately 300°, for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

    Serve warm or cool.

    May add raisins or other dried fruit after it has cooled.

    Store in large jar or cans in refrigerator if it won't be eaten in one week or so.
