- 7 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1 1/2 c. coconut, finely ground
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. slivered almonds or chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients (except brown sugar) together in large pan. Whiz other ingredients in blender.

2Add liquid to dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.

3Put in large shallow pans and bake at 250°.

4Stir every 15 to 20 minutes to prevent burning.

5Bake until golden brown and crisp, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

6Serve with milk.

8fresh peaches, strawberries or fruit puree.
