Ingredients

  • 3 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 c. cornmeal
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 7 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. coconut (optional)
  • 1 c. powdered milk
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. raw cashews
  • 1 1/2 c. whole almonds
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 c. honey
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions

    In a large bowl, mix together whole wheat flour, corn meal, wheat germ, rolled oats, brown sugar, powdered milk, coconut, cinnamon, walnuts, almonds and cashews.

    In blender, add the honey, oil, water, salt and vanilla.

    On low speed, puree until blended.

    Pour liquid over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread on large baking sheets.

    Bake at 275° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Bake until light brown.

    Remove from oven and cool.

    Add dried fruits such as:

    raisins, dates, dried apples or dried apricots, if desired.

    Store in a sealed container.

    Yields approximately 7 1/2 pounds.
