  • 2 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup grape juice
  • 2 each eggs
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger ground
  • 16 ounces applesauce
  • 1 cup dates chopped
  • 1 x powdered sugar

Directions

    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, soda, salt, powder, and spices.

    Slowly add dry ingredients to apple sauce, juice butter and eggs.

    Mix well between each ingredient.

    In mixer blend on low speed 1/2 minute.

    Scrape bowl constantly.

    Stop mixer and stir in dates and nuts.

    Pour in greased and floured Bundt pan, bake 60 minutes at 350F (180C).

    Cook on rack, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
