- 2 c. minced onions
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. diced green peppers
- 1 qt. canned tomatoes
- 3/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Brown onions in shortening.

2Add ground beef and stir constantly until browned.

3Add green peppers, tomatoes, washed rice and seasonings.

4Cook until rice is tender, about 30 to 45 minutes.
