  • 3 tablespoons matcha (green tea powder found in most Asian stores)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Directions

    1) In a saucepan, bring 1/2 cup to boil; in a small bowl, combing boiling water, green tea powder, and 3/4 cup sugar stirring to dissolve the sugar, then stirring in milk.

    2) In a large bowl, whip the cream, vanilla extract, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar until cream starts to thicken (1-2 minutes).

    3) Gently fold milk mixture into whipped cream.

    4) Pour mixture into pop molds, insert sticks, freeze for 10 hours.

    5) Remove from freezer, let stand 5 minutes before removing from mold.
