29 steps
Ingredients
- 1 whole Pineapple
- 1 cup Lime Juice
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
Directions
-
1Slice pineapple into 1/2 inch pieces and place in a big bowl with a snap on lid.
-
2Pour on the lime juice and brown sugar.
-
3Snap on the lid, and shake.
-
4Allow this to marinate in the fridge, shaking it and turning it upside down every so often.
-
5Toss marinated pineapple on the grill, turn once during the cooking process.
-
6The brown sugar and lime, as well as the pineapples natural sugars get all caramel-y and the warm softened pineapple is super juicy!

9FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS
-
10A whole pineapple can be an intimidating thing.
-
11I was intimidated anyway.
-
12Youll need to take a good sharp knife, like a chefs knife, and cut off the stem and the bottom of the pineapple.
-
13I try not to take of more than an inch.
-
14Then you are going to want to slice it in half lengthwise.
-
15I stand the pineapple up on its (now flat) end and slice from top to bottom.
-
16Then I lay it on its (now flat) side and slice it in half again, lengthwise.
-
17The pineapple is now quartered.
-
18If you have something different, my descriptive skills are lacking!
-
19Each pineapple comes with a very tough core which should be removed as it is no fun to bite into.
-
20Keep each quarter laying on its side and just angle your knife to remove about 1/2 inch of what used to be the middle of the pineapple.
-
21Now just slice it into 1/2 inch pieces and place it in a big bowl, this bowl should have some sort of a snap on lid.
-
22Next you are going to pour on the lime juice and brown sugar.
-
23Snap on the lid, and shake.
-
24Allowing this to marinate in the fridge is a good idea, and shaking it, turning it upside down, or whatever is a good idea as well.
-
25Whenever you are ready, just toss it on the grill.
-
26I find that it works at whatever temperature I happen to be grilling at, just keep and eye on it and turn it over once during the cooking process.
-
27The brown sugar and lime, as well as the pineapples natural sugars get all caramel-y and the warm softened pineapple is super juicy!
-
28This can also be refrigerated, and eaten cold.
-
29It is delectable!
