  • 1 (3 to 4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 to 1/2 c. Heinz 57 sauce
  • 1/4 c. parsley
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • hot buttered noodles

Directions

    Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.

    Brown mushrooms, beef and onion in shortening.

    Stir in flour and salt.

    Add mushroom liquid, water, 57 sauce and parsley; combine well.

    Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
