  • 1 pound beef cut into sm. pieces
  • 1 onions chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 red pepper chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 1/2 pounds potatoes
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon crisco or oil

Directions

    Brown onion, red pepper and garlic lightly and add the meat.

    Put a lid on the pot and cook until no more liquid is in it.

    Then add caraway, carrots, tomatoes, red pepper and celery and put enough water to cover all of it.

    Boil it until the meat is half finished and add diced potatoes and more water and salt.

    Boil slowly until the meat and the potatoes are soft and tender.
