Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped gumdrops
- 1 c. chopped nuts or dates
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Roll gumdrops and nuts with 1/2 cup flour.

2Sift remaining dry ingredients together.

3Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.

4Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed on mixer.

5Fold in gumdrops and nuts.

6Bake at 325° for 30 minutes, then increase heat to 350° and bake another 30 minutes or until done.

7Frost with a thin icing. Makes 12 to 16 servings.

8Beautiful at Christmas using red and green gumdrops.
