Ingredients
- 1/4 c. instant yeast
- 3 lb. flour (plain)
- 1 3/4 c. warm skim milk
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil or softened vegetable shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar (1/2 c. for less sweet rolls)
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2Mix all dry ingredients in mixer bowl using dough hook.

3Blend well.

4Mix oil and 1 cup of water and pour into the dry ingredients and blend. Add warm water until dough is wet, but stiff.

5Mix on high until dough leaves sides of bowl.

6Cover bowl and let dough rise to double in size.

7Punch down and knead 2 to 3 minutes.

8Form rolls by pinching off 2-ounce pieces.

9Place on lightly oiled baking sheet.

10Let rise until doubled in size.

11Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.
