- 1 pkg. Great Northern beans
- 1 large ham bone with meat chunks (as much as you like)
- 1 large onion, chopped
Directions

1Soak beans overnight.

2Drain and empty into large pot.

3Add chopped onion, bone and meat chunks.

4Cover with water about 1-inch above beans and cook slowly. Simmer 4 to 5 hours.

5Stir sparingly with wooden or plastic spoon.

6May need to add water. When done, remove bone from pot.

7Take remaining meat off bone. Cut up and add back.
