Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. cubed firm bread
  • 4 oz. cubed fully cooked ham (3/4 c.)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pear halves, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheese (2 oz.)
  • 3 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. skim milk
  • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

    In an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish, layer bread, ham, chopped pears and shredded cheese.

    Combine eggs, milk and nutmeg and pour evenly into dish.

    Cover and chill 4 to 24 hours.

    Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 45 minutes or until center is set and golden top.

    Cool 10 minutes before cutting.

    Garnish with additional pears.
