  • 10 slices bread, cubed
  • 3 c. cooked meat (ham, bacon or sausage)
  • 2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • fresh mushrooms (optional)
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Mix bread, meat, cheese and mushrooms together and put into 10 x 14-inch oven-proof serving dish.

    Combine eggs, milk, salt, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce and pour over all ingredients. Put in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.

    Silver knife should come out almost dry.

    Serves ten easily.
