  • 4 slices bread, remove crusts
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 lb. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 c. diced ham or bacon

    Grease 9 x 12 x 3-inch casserole dish.

    Line with bread. Scald milk; add margarine and remove from heat.

    Beat eggs.

    Add cheese, dry mustard and ham or bacon.

    Mix with milk mixture. Pour over bread.

    Refrigerate overnight.

    Bake in 300° oven for 1 hour or nicely brown on top.
