Hamburger Casserole

  • 1 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 (12 oz.) can Mexicorn with red and green peppers
  • 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. small macaroni shells
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 medium size pkg. mild cheese, grated

Directions

    Saute onion and garlic in small amount of oil.

    Add hamburger; cook until browned well.
  3. 3
    Add chili powder, Mexicorn, tomatoes and tomato sauce.

    Cook in Dutch oven about 35 minutes with lid on. Cook shells until tender; drain.

    Add layers of shells, sauce and grated cheese and repeat until all is used.

    Good also with small can of mushrooms.

    Cook in 350° oven until cheese has melted well.
