  • 4 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo
  • 1 c. water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. flavor oil
  • 1 tsp. food color

    Boil over medium heat to 300° on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat; add 1 teaspoon oil and 1 teaspoon food color.

    Make aluminum tray (double wide).

    Sift 1 pound of powdered sugar over aluminum foil.

    Pour candy over powdered sugar in thin stream; cool and break.
