  • 3 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • food coloring
  • food flavoring or your choice
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Mix the first 3 ingredients together in a pan.

    Cook rapidly until the temperature reaches 300°.

    Add food coloring and flavoring.

    Pour onto cookie sheet; let it set to harden.

    Cover with powdered sugar.

    To crack candy, use butter knife handle.
