Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 tsp. Lorann flavoring
  • powdered sugar

Directions

    Mix the first 3 ingredients in a large, heavy saucepan.

    Stir over high heat until sugar dissolves.

    Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310° or until drops of syrup form hard brittle threads in cold water.

    Remove from heat.

    After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring.

    Pour onto 30 inches of heavy-duty foil covered with powdered sugar.

    Cool.

    Break into pieces.

    Store in airtight containers.
  10. 10
    Makes in excess of 2 pounds.
