  • 3 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. white syrup
  • 1 c. hot water

Directions

    Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

    When candy thermometer reaches 300° take off stove.

    Stir in flavoring and then coloring. Pour in thin strips over powdered sugar which is spread over a formica top.

    Use enough powdered sugar so it won't stick to the table top.

    Let cool a little, then start to break in small pieces.
