- 1 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. oil
- food coloring
- 4x sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon, orange or butterscotch extract (if using)
Directions

1Stir the sugar, syrup and water until dissolved.

2Boil to 295° on candy thermometer; remove from heat.

3Add the oil and desired food coloring.

4Pour onto cookie sheet covered with 4x sugar. Break into pieces.
