Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. white corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. flavoring
  • 1 tsp. food coloring

Directions

    Mix the sugar, corn syrup and water in medium saucepan. Insert candy thermometer. Bring to 300° or hard crack stage. Remove pan from heat. Quickly add the flavoring and food coloring; mix.

    Pour onto well-greased cookie sheet.

    Allow to cool and crack into bite size pieces.

    If desired, you can sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
