Ingredients

  • 1 cup chana dal, boiled so that the dal is separate
  • 2 tbsp. grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
  • 3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 dash hing
  • 1/2 tsp. rai
  • 3/4 tsp. jeera
  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • Salt, to taste

Directions

    Heat oil, add rai and when it splutters add hing, jeera and slit green chilies.

    Fry for 2 minutes, then add chana dal, salt and peas.

    Stir.

    Cook for 5 minutes.

    To serve, garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
