- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 (16 oz.) jar Aunt Nellie's sweet-sour Harvard beets
- 2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
- confectioners sugar
Directions

1Beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs and beat well.

3Blend beets in blender until smooth.

4Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with beets to butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.

5Fold in nuts.
