  • 1/4 c. beet liquid from can
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • few grains pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves
  • 1 (No. 2) can sliced beets (2 1/2 c.)
