- 1 qt. beets (cook fresh or canned)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. liquid from beets or water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt to taste
Directions

1Mix sugar and cornstarch; add vinegar and water.

2Boil for 5 minutes.

3Cut beets into desired pieces and add to hot sauce.

4Let stand at least 30 minutes.

5Just before serving, heat well and add butter.
