  • 2 c. drained, sliced beets (save beet juice)
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. beet juice

Directions

    Melt margarine in a saucepan; add flour.

    Stir.

    Add sugar, salt, vinegar and beet juice gradually.

    Cook until clear, stirring constantly.

    Add sliced beets and heat thoroughly. Serves 4 to 6.
