Ingredients

  • 1 can sliced or chopped beets (reserve juice after draining)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 c. beet juice
  • 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Mix well together sugar, beet juice, flour and vinegar; put in saucepan.

    Bring to boil; boil about 5 to 10 minutes, then add beets, salt and butter.

    Bring back to boil about 3 to 5 minutes.
