- 1 can sliced beets or cut up freshly cooked beets
- 1/2 c. sugar (scant)
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
Directions

1Mix together sugar, flour and cornstarch, then add vinegar and water and cook until hot.

2Add beets and let stand at least 30 minutes.

3Just before serving, bring to boiling point and add 2 tablespoons of butter.
