- 1 lb. can sliced beets
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. vinegar
Directions

1Drain 1/2 liquid off beets.

2Heat with onion until soft. Separately, mix together sugar, salt, cornstarch and vinegar.

3Add to hot beets and onion slowly.

4Stir as mixture thickens.

5Makes 6 servings.
