  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

    Mix apples and sugar; let stand 1 hour.

    Stir together flour, soda and spices.

    Beat eggs; add oil and vanilla.

    Add apple mixture.

    Combine mixture with eggs; stir in walnuts.

    Bake in greased and floured angel food cake pan in 350° oven for 1 hour. Frost with plain white icing and top with sprinkled walnuts.
