Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted and divided
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
- 1/4 tsp. basil leaves
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 2 lb. potatoes, peeled very thinly, sliced and divided
- 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2In a small bowl, combine seasonings. Place 2 tablespoons melted butter in a 10-inch skillet (if handle is not ovenproof, wrap with foil).

3Arrange a third of potato slices in circular pattern in skillet.

4Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of seasonings, 4 teaspoons melted butter and 2 tablespoons onion. Repeat layers twice, cover tightly with foil and press layers down.

5Bake 20 minutes.

6Uncover; bake 20 minutes longer or until potatoes are tender.

7Remove from oven; press layers down with a spatula.

8Let stand 10 minutes.

9Invert onto serving platter to unmold potatoes.
