Hash Brown Quiche

Ingredients

  • 1 (24 oz.) frozen shredded hash browns, thawed (I use Ore-Ida Cheddar cheese)
  • 1/3 c. melted margarine
  • 1 c. shredded hot pepper cheese (can cut if too spicy)
  • 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. diced cooked ham (or diced Smoky links or sausage)
  • diced onions or mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 c. half and half cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt

Directions

    Grease sides and bottom of 9-inch pie plate. Press hash browns into pie plate to form crust.

    Brush with melted butter and bake for 25 minutes.

    Sprinkle ham, onions, mushrooms and cheeses over crust.

    Beat cream, eggs and salt and pour over cheeses.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

    Can be frozen.

    I brown crust, add ingredients and then freeze before baking.
